Hope … for the homeless!
AMC Sibiu is a group of people who carry on their activity in Romania and who desire to bring a ray of hope for the orphans of this country, children and souls abandoned by their parents in orphanages.
The situation of those living in these centres can not be compared or regarded in the same way as that of the children spending their childhood in united families, receiving paternal support and care, but anyway orphanages as we know them today are still a place of shelter even though there are many problemes in these centres, too. Paternal love can not be replaced with anything else, and these children grow up often having problems in different areas of their lives. Often they are not able to live a normal life, to find a job or to create a family.Thus, this system is designed in such a manner that it offers shelter and care until the age of 18, when it is considered that they can live on their own account. The problem is that once they get out of these centers, the young people are faced with the ruthless world of the streets, being exposed to prostitution, drugs, the braking of the law, because they do not have stable help, they don't have a house, they don't have a job, they don't have friends, relatives to help them, they are alone.Through our activities, we want to support these young people, who practically at 18 end up in the street, by trying to create a future, continuing their education in an environment based on love and soul, a place full of faith and hope.
In Romania we are encouraged and helped in this work by "Bethany" Church in Sibiu.
In Germany we are part of the work of the Free Evangelic "Christ Church" in St. Michaelisdonn.
This work is sustained by different persons in Switzerland, Germany, USA, being part of different churches or confessions and having an open heart for the needs of the children in Romania.
